Question 1

A. why did you select this artwork to re-create and what did you decide to change to improve the original ?

-One of the projects that fascinated me was creating your artwork with a secong meaning like reality and fantasy. Honestly I am not an imaginary person but I enjoy sketches of faces, because I love doing makeup. I selected the first piece of art from my sketchbook because I thought I could fix the butterflies, I didnt like how they came out,so I decided to make them all look the same and I used lighter colors and lesser dark.
B. How does the difference between the two works of art show your growth as an artist during this class ?How do you think your art-making ability has changed ?
-The difference between the two works of art showed me how when I first started this class I didnt really spend time planning my work, and I feel like now I know how to organize and come up with different statatistics to make an art work without making alot of mistakes. My art-making ability has improved atleast a little, because for example I didnt really knoew how to shade and it took me a while to actually know the differences between darker shades and lighter shades. With the fist picture I took forever to make it and i still didnt like it.

Question 2.
1.How do artists document the human experience through art? Artists document the human experience through art to communicate beliefs and express ideas to demostrate us how artists believe people of all stages of civilizations used to lived and what they used to valued.I think artists combine two different things like this art work, to show us unkowable mysteries.

2.How have you used art to document the human experience in this class ?
An example of how I have used art to document the human experience in this class is the identity project, because I tried to express how I see myself throuhout the years and what I have also became as a human with all the experiences I have faced using words and diferent color papers as the world around me.

1. What new skills did you learn as part of this unit?

During this unit I learned how I can take advantage of different materials to create art , and it doesn't have to look professional, you just have to express yourself. I learned new skills like taking compositions by adding a large and open background, in order to make your subject stand out. I also learned how by using water in your paintings can make them seem different and you can make it seem like you used different types of colors.

What media are you interested in using again and why?

I'm interested in using Clay Slab Tile again , because I think it was fun tracing my own painting into something I thought it was just for kids. It was  really interesting and easy to make a clay slab tile, it does take time but it was worth it; When I was quite young, I used to go to Cancun all the time and I always wondered how people were able to make them. I'm for sure going to show my mom how to make one.

What project from Unit 3 did you find to be the most successful? Why?

I think the Watercolor Landscape was the most successful because I enjoyed making new colors I never thought I would ever make them by just mixing  black, blue, red and yellow. I thought it was pretty amazing how I was able to create different types of dark colors in my painting by combining them but it deemed like I used only black but in different tones. I feel like everyone enjoyed this project because we all had the opportunity to use our own imagination and express ourselves by using colors.

Haejin Lee  creates sculptures that seem unreal and out of order, using ceramic and focusing on her shape shifting creations combining human elements. She introduces a unique, one of a kind feel to her designs, like if she was using a bandage.

Elliot Walker uses molten glass to create sculptures, making
them seem real but unrealistic .His pieces have a look of
solidity while at the same time being very  delicate.
